(Brookville, New York… November 2023) Multi-platinum,12-time GRAMMY® Award-winner John Legend headlines 2023/24 Gala at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. Performance will take place on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11 at 8:30 pm.

Intimate Performance by John Legend

This special solo performance will feature intimate reimaginings of Legend’s greatest hits (“All of Me,” “Ordinary People,” “Tonight”), unexpected stories from Legend’s life and career, and selections from his most recent release LEGEND (“Nervous,” “Wonder Woman”). Gala ticket-holders enjoy a celebratory evening, beginning with a cocktail reception at 5:30 pm, followed by a dinner in the Goldsmith Atrium, and premium Gala seating at the performance. The concert is open to the public and begins at 8:30 pm. Proceeds from this special Gala performance support nonprofit Tilles Center’s enduring mission to inspire, engage, and educate the Long Island community through arts performance, education, and advocacy.

Complimentary Tickets for Veterans

Tilles Center is proud to have donated 2000 tickets and counting to active and retired military veterans and first-responders through the Veteran Tickets Foundation’s Tickets for Troops Program, the second largest VSO in the USA, also known as Vet Tix. These donations are made possible by a generous donation by Tilles Center 2023/24 Season Sponsor Catholic Health, through their Catholic Health Cares program. These tickets have been distributed through numerous events throughout the year, including to Tilles Center’s upcoming Gala event featuring John Legend.

Gala Honoree and United Veterans Beacon House supporter Anne D. Shybunko-Moore

Anne D. Shybunko-Moore is the CEO and Owner of GSE Dynamics Inc., a Woman Owned Small Business, and a U.S. Defense Manufacturer. She serves in many local, regional and national leadership roles, including Ignite LI, The Manufacturing Consortium of Long Island, the Governor’s Long Island Regional Economic Development Council (LIREDC), Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA), The Cradle of Aviation Museum, The DeMatteis School of Engineering Advisory Board at Hofstra University, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), and The National Women’s Business Council (NWBC).  She is also known for her efforts with regional workforce training initiatives and work on behalf of veterans, including with the United Veterans Beacon House, whose mission it is to help homeless veterans on Long Island.

Anne won the AIA Voice of Industry award and was inducted into the Long Island Business Hall of Fame in 2022, and her company GSE has received numerous awards and honors, including the Defense Logistics Agency Outstanding Readiness award
