Job Posting – CNC Machinist Setup / Operator

GSE Dynamics, Inc., a full-service engineering and manufacturing company located in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Machine Shop.

Duties include:

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tooling.
Operate and monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced according to quality standards and specifications.
Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as necessary to maintain quality and accuracy.
Troubleshoot issues with machines, tooling, or programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
Familiarity with CNC machine operation and setup procedures.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in machining preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
U.S. Citizen
Fluent in English

Salary Range: $24.00 per hour – $32.00 per hour
