Job Description – Buyer

GSE Dynamics, Inc., a full-service engineering and manufacturing company located in Hauppauge, NY is seeking an experienced Buyer for the Purchasing Department.

Duties include:

• • Support engineering and manufacturing departments for purchases of simple to complex structures, both metal and composites.

• • Effectively negotiate with new and existing suppliers to achieve advantageous pricing, reliable delivery and greatest possible benefits for internal operations.

• • Determine and ensure vendors have all required information to achieve production schedules.

• • Work closely with production on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

• • Identify available inventory including need for repurchasing.

• • Effectively navigate and utilize company databases including existing ERP system.

• • Meet with and visit supplier facilities to assess their manufacturing abilities, equipment, and capacity.

Qualifications:

• • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.

• • Computer skills are a must.

• • 3 years’ experience in manufacture purchasing required. 

• • Aerospace purchasing a plus.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizen

High School Diploma or equivalent

Salary Range:  $65,000.00 – $80,000 annual salary

Job Type: Full-time

FLSA Classification:  Exempt
